Naturally Gluten Free

I love stew. It has been one of my favorite meals, since I was little. Thankfully with a few modifications from the original recipe it is naturally gluten free! Recently, before heading back to school,  I enjoyed a great stew over brown rice with a GF dinner roll from Bare Naked Bakery.

This recipe is very easy and is best when you prepare it in a crockpot. Prepare this meal in the morning, and by the time you come home from work or school the house will be smelling great! ( Sorry for not providing exact measurements, it is one of those recipes I just eye ball)

Below is the recipe for your enjoyment:

Beef Stew
2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1 1/2 cubes
2 tbs. Olive oil
Chopped onions
2 small cans of Tomato Sauce (Contadina is GF)
Baby carrots
Corn
Peas

Pour oil into grill or sauce pan with beef and onions. Cook until slightly browned. Pour tomato sauce with a little water in crock pot ( I do about 1/2 can). Add beef onions, carrots  and, (potatoes if desired) to crock pot. Cook in crock pot on low for about 8-10 hrs. Add corn and peas, cook for high for last 10 minutes.

I enjoy eating my stew over brown rice or plain with a piece of GF bread for dunking.
