And the Nominees Are...

In the mist of my crazy night, I received a phone call from my mom telling me that I have been nominated for a GFREEK award (under the best websites/blog category)!!  For those of you who are not familiar with this website, it was started so that individuals could compare gluten-free products and services. Out of frustration that many GF products tasted awful and were so expensive, Josh and his family started the GFREEK awards - to identify a product or service that "has met the quality standards set out by the Celiac and Gluten Intolerant population." This is the second year of the awards.

These awards are great! I remember after the results were released last year, I had a list of products that I was "on the look out for." These awards were particularly helpful last year, because they exposed me to product names that I had never heard of. In addition to the GFREEK awards, Josh also holds a weekly Blog Talk radio show, where he talks about many interesting topics that are of concern to the g-free community. 

I am so honored and excited to be nominated. Many of the other nominees are people that have inspired me to find my own voice in the "community." No where in my wildest dreams did I think I would get this type of recognition when first launching my blog 10 months ago.
