Hold the Gluten: The first podcast I came across on iTunes after my diagnosis was Hold the Gluten. This podcast was started by a woman named Maureen. When I first discovered this podcast, I literally sat in my bed and listened to all the old episodes, because I was so eager to learn about the gluten-free lifestyle. I would get so excited when I got a notification for iTunes that there was a new episode to listen to.
Maureen took a bit of a hiatus from her podcast, but is now back to podcasting (which I am so happy about)! Upon her return she teamed up with Vanessa Maltin Weisbrod (Executive Editor of Delight Gluten-free, Celiac Princess Blog). Together they talk about gluten-free news. I have to be honest, with the craziness of the semester I am quite behind on their episodes, but was able to listen to the first two episodes while writing papers one day, and they were great.
Gfreek.com: Another radio show that you may be familiar with is Gfreek.com. I talked about this radio show briefly when I announced that I was nominated for a GFreek award (after you read this, head over and vote - the ballot closes 12/28!). Josh speaks about a variety of different topics including the nutritional needs for individuals with Celiac and gluten-free pet peeves. In his latest episode (which I caught the last few minutes of) he spoke to Natalie Jill and discussed why some individuals gain or loose weight after going GF.
The Gluten-Free Voice with Jules: In addition to her website, and blog, Jules Shepard also started a radio show, which she holds weekly. During part of her show she even allows listeners to call in and ask questions. Some topics she has talked about has been GF cookie tips, gluten and wine, and gluten and Cosmetics
How do you get all your gluten-free news?
Thank you Candice! I'm SO honored to be on your list! Wishing you a fabulous holiday (and a less-crazy next semester!) :) Maureen
