Using Music To Motivate Me!

Day # 9: Theme song. Imagine your health focus or blog is getting its own theme song. What would the lyrics be? What type of music would it be played to?

Despite it being a short week for me, this week has been super busy. On Monday, I was up until 3:30AM doing work, almost over slept and missed my 10AM class, and then proceeded to spend 6 plus hours in the library, only to still have tons of reading to complete.

Though there is much work to get done, every girl needs a break. It's not healthy to work through the stress, and I've learned that if I work through it I am much less productive. Hence, why I am writing this post.

Before I got diagnosed with my foot injury, the gym was my break. It was my escape and it relaxed me. However, now that I am there 7 days a week, and sometimes 2x a day it doesn't always give me the same effect. I still love working out, but lately it has become something that is more of a frustration, since I'm not getting the results I want. Over the past two weeks, it has taken even more motivation to get to the gym because of the painful flare up I have been going through. As a result, I have been relying on my music to motivate me.  Lately, I've been mixing my workouts with the Pandora radio app, because it gives me variety.

So today instead of sharing a theme song for my blog, I'm sharing the songs that I would include on a future running play list, because getting back to running is one of my future goals:

1.Domino - Jessie J
2. Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)- Kelly Clarkson
3. Good Girl - Carrie Underwood
4. Any Way You Want It/ Lovin Tochin' Squeezin'  (Glee Cast Version)
5.Brokenhearted -Karmin
6. What Makes You Beautiful - One Direction
7. Don't Be a Girl About it - Kelly Clarkson
8. Wild One - Flo Rida
9. Moves Like Jagger - Maroon 5
10. We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) - Rihanna
