Day# 16: Pinboard. Create a
pinterest board for your health focus. Pin 3 things. What did you pin? Share
the images in a post and explain why you chose them.
A Quote: We all need a little inspiration. Though life is still enjoyable and fulfilling after going gluten-free, life at
times can be challenging when living with celiac, gluten-sensitivity, or food allergies.
As mentioned in a previous post, I have stickies on my computer full of inspirational quotes. This helps me through the good and bad day, and helps to keep my mind healthy.
When I saw this quote I thought this was a perfect message for those who have been recently diagnosed. When first diagnosed things aren't perfect. There is a lot to learn and your body needs to heal. Focus on the small progress, and celebrate the victories.
Gluten-Free Bread From Canyon Bakehouse: One of the first things people say when they hear I am GF is, "I could never go GF I would miss bread too much." Well guess what I can eat bread, thanks to the many wonderful companies that make the GF community soft, flavorful, and delicious GF bread. (My own Pin: photo taken @ GFAF Expo)
The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness is a wonderful advocacy group for our community. Their mission is to educate others (including doctors and
restaurants) about important issues in the GF community. They strive to
improve the life’s of individuals with gluten sensitivity and celiac. The NFCA has helped to make my gluten-free transition a little easier, and I couldn't create my “health focused
Pin board" without including them.
I'm fairly new to Pinterest, but so far I really like it. What are your thoughts about Pinterest? You can follow me by clicking here or by clicking the Pinterest tab to the right.
